Web 3.0 / web3 | Details, Information
Web3 or Web 3.0? Is web3 the future internet and will change the User Experience?
Web 1.0
web 1.0 refers to the first phase of the worldwide web. You can say it was the very first Internet of the 1990s and early 2000s. In October 1990 Berners-lee wrote three fundamental technologies which become the foundation of the web.
- HTML
- URL
- HTTP
"WorldWideWeb.app" is the very first browser or editor of the webpage. web 1.0 had read-only pages where users can not make interaction. Interactions in web 1.0 are at an insignificant level. According to resources creators were very low with the majority of users and users just consumed data.

What is Web 3.0 and web3
Web3 Definition
web3 is a concept that will make the system of www(world wide web) decentralized built on Blockchains.
Explanation
You can call Web3 a new phase of the world wide web or third generation of web 1.0 and web 2.0. Web3 includes blockchain technologies. The whole idea is revolving around the concept of a decentralized system just like cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens.

Blockchain is explained in simple words. What is Blockchain?
Web3 or web 3.0 term is originated by Gavin Wood the co-founder of Ethereum and founder of Polkadot. Web3 is not the same concept as the semantic web concept by Tim Berners-Lee. The semantic web concept is also known as web 3.0. So, it is confusing because of some writers who used the term web 3.0 for the decentralized web concept (web3). Web3 will include the features of the semantic web as well.

What is Semantic Web (Web 3.0)?
Features of web3 or web 3.0
- Semantic Web
- Decentralization
- Ubiquity
- 3D graphics
- Artificial Intelligence
Semantic Web
Web3 includes all concepts of semantic web by Tim Berners-lee within himself. Web3 involves semantic web which will provide a better Internet experience to users because computers will be able to understand metadata about data on the internet directly. Because the data in the semantic web is machine-readable computers can understand the meaning of data and can analyze emotions behind the content due to this users will have a better experience.
Decentralization
Web3 or 3.0 will be decentralized using Blockchain technology. There will be no 3rd party or center party will be involved. Imagine an Internet where there is no central authority and you can post anything without permission you are free from inspection and restrictions. Unlike web2.0 where data is stored on a central server on a fixed location Web3 or web 3.0 will store data on different nodes on different locations using Blockchain or peer-to-peer networking systems or a combination of them. The Information on the Internet will be found based on content and not by addresses of web pages or by keywords.
Ubiquity
The content on the Internet will be more connected than now hence will be ubiquitous. Ubiquity means being very common. We already have connectivity and ubiquity in web 2.0 at some level as if you upload content on the Internet you can watch it anytime from a computer. With Web3 or web 3.0 data will be more ubiquitous accessed by many increasing numbers of devices.
3D Graphics
There is wide use of 3D graphics in today's websites and applications like in online multiplayer games. Web3 is based on a decentralized system and will have high use of 3D graphics.
Artificial Intelligence
In web3 or web 3.0 computers will understand Information in a way like humans do because of Artificial Intelligence. Artificial Intelligence means intelligence shown by machines. Web3 is using semantic web technology hence machines can directly understand data on the Internet. AI (artificial intelligence) can have different uses on the internet just like in web 2.0 people pay to rate their products and services but in web3 AI can be used as checking for real reviews and fake ones.
